First December Films Advertising work has been talked about by the likes of The New York Times, Time Magazine, Mashable, People, BBC, Mirror U.K, Discovery, Reuters, Global Citizen, The Wall Street Journal, Daily Mail, The Huffington Post, The Independent, and The Guardian.

First December Films work has become well known throughout the world, winning various industry awards; more recently the prestigious D&AD Impact White Pencil and Gold Lion at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity for his campaign ‘Beauty Tips by Reshma’, created at Ogilvy & Mather, Mumbai. First December Films film “How to Get Perfect Red Lips” from the campaign made it to the list of World’s Best Commercials of 2016 by Adweek.

Nike Cricket film; Make Every Yard Count, which was the most awarded film ever from Asia, winning over 50 International Awards including a record 07 Cannes Lions, 03 One Show Gold Pencils and 06 Coveted D&AD pencils in 2015.

Atul Kattukaran

Atul Kattukaran has won the Cannes Lions, the OSCAR awards of Advertising in 2014, 2016 and 2017.

Other famous awards won by Atul are D&AD, CLIO, ONE SHOW, SPIKES ASIA, PROMAX and Indian advertising awards like KYOORIOUS and GOA FEST.

Juju Basu

Director, 1st December Films

Juju has worked in the advertising & Media business in various creative roles for over 20 years.

His love for sports drew him to a role at Star Sports, where he had the unique opportunity to play a role blending creative, design and film making. The work ranged from the hugely viral Mauka Mauka Cricket World Cup campaign to designing the Pro Kabaddi League and penning the property’s Le Panga tagline, launching the Indian Super League with dozens of ads and promos, Hockey India’s Ladoh Toh Aise – Sardara spot and the Women’s Day #CheckOutMyGame.

Before Star he worked at 3 advertising agencies – Contract, Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey in Mumbai, Delhi, Colombo, Mauritius and Kolkata where he started as a summer intern straight from Class 12. Basu’s clients have included Domino’s, NIIT, Ten Sports, Cadbury, First Post and P&G. Juju has won numerous awards at the One Show, D&AD, Asia Pacific Adfest and has been on the jury at various Indian award shows Cannes Lions.

JUJU realised the reason he got into advertising was to make films and after directing few campaigns at Star he decided to jump in full time.

JUJU BASU has ability to look at scripts and flip them around in a way that’s just a little bit more and interesting and hits the idea in the sweet spot.

JUJU BASU is moved to full time filmmaking in November 2018. He spends his day discussing scripts and holding meetings at his sea facing house in Versova, Mumbai .
