WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
- Nearly every film we have made carries the same Executive Producer credit. That person is also our Creative Director
- We want a second EP who can run the production side of the company, so the partners can spend more time on the work and the clients
THE JOB IN ONE LINE
- You own the slate: what we bid, how we price it, who produces it, and whether it lands on time and on budget
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
The slate
- Decide with the partners which briefs to chase and which to pass on
- Match each film to the right director, producer and crew
Pricing and margin
- Sign off every bid and every final cost report
- Set rate cards and vendor terms, and know our margin by film, by month and by client
Agencies and brands
- Be the senior production voice with agency heads of production and brand marketing teams
- Handle escalations: the ones that come before the shoot, and the ones that come after
The production team
- Lead the Senior Producers, Producers, line production and post teams
- Hire, review and grow them, and build the bench of freelancers we trust
How we run
- Write down the production process from brief to delivery, and make it the way every film is made
- Bring in the tools and templates: budgets, call sheets, trackers and post schedules
Compliance
- Make sure contracts, talent releases, permissions, insurance and music licences are in place before we roll
HOW WE WORK
- Chase the last 5%. We only hire people who pursue excellence. Most work stops at good enough. The last 5%, the detail nobody asked for, is where our films are made
- Move first. Start before you feel ready. A rough version today beats a perfect one next week
- Lead with the answer. Be clear, give the context, then say what you need
- Update before anyone asks. "Done", "doing it by [date]" or "stuck, here's my suggestion" are all fine. Silence never is
- Plan for the obstacle. If X goes wrong, then Y, decided in advance
- Show the number, not the story. Results over effort
- Raise the hard thing early. Flag the risk on the day you see it
THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU
- Have run production for a busy ad film house or a large agency production unit
- Think in margins and relationships at the same time
- Build systems people actually use
- Can tell a client no and keep the client
THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR YOU IF YOU
- Want to produce one film at a time yourself
- Prefer to escalate a hard call rather than make it
- See process as paperwork rather than as protection
HOW WE'LL MEASURE YOU
- Margin across the slate, quarter by quarter
- Films delivered on time and on budget
- Repeat briefs from the agencies you look after
- A production process the team follows without you in the room
WHAT YOU GET
- A hot seat. We're setting up our processes right now, so your work shapes how they turn out
- A real view of how a production company runs, from brief to delivery
- You learn from the best in our system, and you help build it
- A house with more than 150 international creative awards, Cannes Lions among them
THE DETAILS
- Freelance. Paid per project or on a monthly retainer, agreed in writing before you start
- Works closely with the partners
- Mumbai, at our office in Andheri West and on set
