- We have a live project, and it needs one person who owns it from brief to delivery
- We're also setting up how First December Films runs its productions. You'll help build that system, not just follow it
THE JOB IN ONE LINE
- You own the project end to end: budget, crew, vendors, timelines and the client relationship
- When something goes wrong, you make the call
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
The budget
- Build it, hold it, and know where it stands on any given day
- Flag an overrun the day you see it, with an option attached
The crew and vendors
- Bring in the right people, brief them well, and hold them to it
- Negotiate, book and close every vendor on time
The timeline
- Plan the project from brief to delivery and keep every date that matters
- Have the backup ready before you need it
The client
- Be the person the client trusts to tell them where things stand
- Bring them answers, not surprises
The shoot
- Run the day, solve what breaks, and make the call when things go wrong
HOW WE WORK
- Move first. Start before you feel ready. A rough version today beats a perfect one next week
- Lead with the answer. Be clear, give the context, then say what you need
- Update before anyone asks. "Done", "doing it by [date]" or "stuck, here's my suggestion" are all fine. Silence never is
- Plan for the obstacle. If X goes wrong, then Y, decided in advance
- Show the number, not the story. Results over effort
- Raise the hard thing early. Flag the risk on the day you see it
