The Line Producer is the person who turns an impossible board into a film that comes in on budget, on schedule and without a single visible seam. At First December Films, that job carries real weight. The work we take on is ambitious by design, and the Line Producer is who makes ambition survive contact with reality.
You will run productions end to end, from the first breakdown to the wrap report, and you will be the calm center when a set has a hundred moving parts and the light is going.
What you'll do
- Break down scripts and boards, and build accurate, defensible budgets from pre-production through post.
- Own the shoot schedule and the call sheet, and keep every department moving to it.
- Negotiate and manage vendors, crew, locations, equipment and talent costs.
- Lead the production team on the floor and keep the director free to direct.
- Track spends live against budget and flag variances before they become problems, never after.
- Manage client and agency expectations on cost, timeline and feasibility with honesty.
- Own compliance, permits, insurance and safety on every set.
- Write the wrap report and close every production cleanly.
What we're looking for
- 7 to 10 years line producing TVCs or advertising films, with a reel of national-scale work.
- Total command of production budgeting and scheduling software and process.
- A deep vendor, crew and location network across Mumbai and beyond.
- The composure to solve a crisis quietly and the spine to say no when something cannot be done well.
- Someone who treats the client's money like their own and the director's vision like it is sacred.
Bonus points
- Experience on shoots outside India or servicing international clients.
- A track record on award-winning or festival work.
