THE JOB IN ONE LINE
- You run the shoot day on the ground and control the costs behind it
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
The shoot day
- Get crew, cast and equipment on set on time
- Keep the day to the schedule with the 1st AD, and call overtime before it happens, not after
Cost control
- Track every cost against the line budget, and send the Producer a cost report each evening
- Approve and record every extra: vehicles, meals, equipment, overtime
Vendors
- Confirm every vendor the day before, and check what arrived against what was ordered
Safety and compliance
- Make sure the set is safe: stunts, heights, water, electricals, children on set
- Keep the permissions on set and ready to show
Wrap
- Return everything, close every vendor bill, and hand a clean wrap report to accounts
HOW WE WORK
- Chase the last 5%. We only hire people who pursue excellence. Most work stops at good enough. The last 5%, the detail nobody asked for, is where our films are made
- Move first. Start before you feel ready. A rough version today beats a perfect one next week
- Lead with the answer. Be clear, give the context, then say what you need
- Update before anyone asks. "Done", "doing it by [date]" or "stuck, here's my suggestion" are all fine. Silence never is
- Plan for the obstacle. If X goes wrong, then Y, decided in advance
- Show the number, not the story. Results over effort
- Raise the hard thing early. Flag the risk on the day you see it
