The short answer. The seven AI video production houses we would shortlist for 2027 are First December Films (Mumbai), Studio Blo (Mumbai), Native Foreign (Culver City), Tool of North America (Santa Monica), AiCandy (Sydney), Secret Level (Los Angeles) and AIRHEAD by Knucklehead (London). We publish this list and we rank ourselves first. The other six are ranked by what each studio puts in writing and what third parties confirm.
Search for the best AI video production companies today and you get lists written by the companies on them, padded with software tools, and almost never a film you can check. We make AI films and live-action films for brands in India and abroad, so we did the slower thing. We audited 41 AI studios in the US, the UK, Europe, the Gulf, Asia-Pacific and India against eight checks a buyer can verify, traced 113 films they claim to an independent source, and captured each shortlisted studio’s website on the same day. This page is the result, with the method open so you can disagree with it.
Published 19 October 2026. Every studio page, credit and award was checked on 19 October 2026. Screenshots show each studio’s site as it looked that day, captured at desktop width.
Key takeaways
- An AI video production house is a studio that directs and produces commercials and brand films with generative AI, alone or mixed with live action. A tool like Runway or Synthesia is software you operate yourself; most "best AI video company" lists mix the two.
- We scored 41 studios on eight published checks. Of the 40 besides us, 12 have aired brand work that a brand, agency, award body or trade title credits to them. Only one publishes a consent rule for real faces and voices, and none publishes a labelling rule or who owns the finished film.
- Of 113 AI films the studios we audited list as their work, we could confirm 30 through a third party. The rest are logos on the studio’s own site.
- Fame and evidence are different rankings. Secret Level made Coca-Cola’s AI holiday films two years running, and sits sixth here because its site publishes almost nothing a brand’s legal team can check.
- Almost no studio publishes a price. Where figures exist they run from about $2,000 for the generation behind a viral spot to $300,000 and more for a flagship film (about ₹1.9 lakh to ₹2.85 crore).
- Of 14 "best AI studio" listicles we found in Google results in the US, UK and India, 11 put their own publisher in the top three and 4 say so.
What is an AI video production house?
An AI video production house is a production company that directs and makes commercials, brand films and campaign content using generative AI models for some or all of the footage, and delivers a finished, broadcast-ready film. It brings what a live-action production house brings, a director, a producer, an editor and a sound team, and replaces some of the shoot with image and video generation.
Three kinds of company sell "AI video" to brands, and they are not interchangeable.
| Kind | What you buy | Who directs | Examples | Use it for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AI video production house | A directed film, delivered as a master | A named director at the studio | The seven below | TVCs (television commercials), brand films, campaigns |
| Creative-as-a-service platform | Designers and editors on a subscription | Your team, through briefs | Superside, QuickFrame | Volume edits, social cut-downs |
| AI video software | A tool you operate yourself | You | Runway, Synthesia, HeyGen | Drafts, explainers, avatar videos |
Three kinds of "AI video company" a brand can hire. Examples are taken from the lists and AI engine answers we analysed on 19 October 2026.
Within production houses there is a second split that matters more than the logo. Fully AI studios generate every frame. Hybrid studios shoot real people, products and places first and extend them with AI. Twelve of the 40 other studios we audited show hybrid or live-action capability.
How we ranked the seven
We built the long list from the studios that rank in Google, the studios that ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI answers name, trade-press credits for AI ads in 2024 to 2026, and AI award results. That gave 51 names. Ten could not be found as working AI ad studios at all, which left 41 to audit, ourselves included. Each was scored on eight checks: one point for yes, half for partly, nothing for no.
- Aired brand work credited by someone else. A brand, agency, award organiser or trade title names the studio on an AI or hybrid brand film.
- Named directors. The studio says who directs.
- A published process. Stages and sign-offs, not adjectives.
- A consent rule for real faces and voices.
- A labelling rule for AI in the finished film.
- Ownership terms: who owns the film when it is paid for.
- Hybrid or live-action capability.
- An award for AI work, confirmed by the organiser or trade press.
We put First December Films first. That was our decision as the publisher, and you should weigh it. We did score ourselves on the same eight checks, and we came out at 7.5 of 8, but the checks reward what we happen to publish, so read the score as an audit of openness, not proof of quality. Where we fall short, we say so in our entry. The other six are ranked by score, with ties broken by the weight of their third-party-confirmed, aired brand work. Nobody paid to be on this list, and none of the other six studios was told it was being reviewed.
| Rank | Studio | Score | Published in full | Missing or partial |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | First December Films | 7.5 | Directors, process, consent rule, labelling rule, ownership terms, hybrid, AI award | Third-party credit (partial: most AI credits are on our own site) |
| 2 | Studio Blo | 6 | Third-party credit, directors, consent rule, hybrid, AI award | Ownership terms; process and labelling partial |
| 3 | Native Foreign | 3.5 | Third-party credit, hybrid, AI award | Process, consent, labelling, ownership; directors partial |
| 4 | Tool of North America | 3.5 | Third-party credit, directors, hybrid | Consent, labelling, ownership, AI award; process partial |
| 5 | AiCandy | 3.5 | Hybrid, AI award | Consent, labelling, ownership; credit, directors and process partial |
| 6 | Secret Level | 3 | Third-party credit, hybrid | Consent, labelling, ownership, AI award; directors and process partial |
| 7 | AIRHEAD by Knucklehead | 3 | Third-party credit, directors, hybrid | Process, consent, labelling, ownership, AI award |
The seven studios on our eight checks, from each studio’s own pages and third-party sources read on 19 October 2026.

The 7 best AI video production houses at a glance
| Rank | Studio | Base | Best for | The film to check |

The shortlist at a glance. "The film to check" is the one a third party credits, except where noted in the entry.
1. First December Films (Mumbai, India)

Best for: brands that need a directed film with real people, products and places, and campaigns that need many films without losing the look.
First December Films has made advertising films since 2010 and has won 10 Cannes Lions. Our AI work is made by the same directors, producers, editors and sound team as our live-action films. In September 2026 we made the AI film for Air India’s "There is an Air About India" campaign with the agency McCann: about a hundred shots in 102 seconds, chosen from more than 600 generations, released with the label "Some content is computer-generated." For Razorpay we made 32 fully AI founder films for the IPL 2026 window, directed by Shivang Monga: five days of set-up and a paid test film, then about one film a day. Our hybrid films, where we shoot the plates first and extend them with AI, include Malaysia Airlines, Meta, Star Sports for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Campa Cola and the vivo X300 Pro launch film, which won a Bronze for AI-Integrated Live Action Film at the Good Ads Matter Awards 2026, shared with Old Monk Studio.
What we publish: a six-stage pipeline in which every frame is approved as a still before it moves; written consent for every real face and voice, with SAG-AFTRA’s digital-replica terms as the benchmark; a labelled and a clean master on every job; a generation log for every film; and the rule that the client owns the finished film on full payment.
Where we fall short: most of our AI credits are on our own site. The trade coverage of the Air India film credits Air India and McCann, and the only independent page that names us on an AI film is the Good Ads Matter results. We do not publish AI prices, because we price campaigns, not clips. Our contract wording on rights is still with our lawyer; the commitments are public, the clauses are not yet.
2. Studio Blo (Mumbai, India)

Best for: likeness and celebrity-led AI work in India and the Gulf, and single AI scenes inside a live-action film.
Studio Blo is a Mumbai AI studio working since 2024 and "represented in London, Dubai & Los Angeles". It made three AI films for the Dubai bank Emirates NBD with the agency Liwa.Content Driven (Indian Television, 25 August 2025), and its film for Shemaroo, "Kindness Badhaye Goodness", won a Baby Blue Elephant at the Kyoorius Creative Awards 2026 (MediaBrief, 29 May 2026). Its site credits films directed by Rob Kaplan and by Raj Kumar Hirani for Bajaj Group’s centennial, and a board of AI ethics chaired by the filmmaker Shekhar Kapur.
It is the only studio besides us that publishes a rule on real people: "We don’t replace people without consent." For celebrity clones, it says each one is "fully licensed, tracked, and ethically approved." It is a member of C2PA, the industry body behind content provenance labels, and it is open about how it prices: by "consistency, specificity, control", not by location.
Watch for: Studio Blo sells celebrity cloning as a product. Its consent rule sits in an FAQ answer rather than a policy, and its site does not say who owns the finished film. If your film uses a real face, get the talent contract in your own name.
3. Native Foreign (Culver City, US)

Best for: US brands that want an AI first or a hybrid film with real celebrity talent.
Native Foreign, led by its founder Rebecca Hamm and chief creative officer Nik Kleverov, made the Toys"R"Us origin film with OpenAI’s Sora in June 2024. The brand’s own release called it "the first-ever brand film using OpenAI’s new text-to-video tool, Sora" (Toys"R"Us via PR Newswire, 24 June 2024), and it took a Gold Honor in Artificial Intelligence at the Shorty Awards. In February 2026 its Carl’s Jr. spot with Paris Hilton mixed her real performance with AI clones (Muse by Clios, 11 February 2026).
Kleverov is blunt about what AI does not remove. "Every single client experience I’ve had has been like, ‘Oh wait, we still have to do that?' Yes, we still have to storyboard," he told The Drum in June 2026.
Watch for: no published process, consent, labelling or ownership terms. The best-known credit is now more than two years old.
4. Tool of North America (Santa Monica, US)

Best for: director-led hybrid films from a company that also makes live-action commercials.
Tool is an established commercial production company that says it has been "leveraging AI" since 2016 and now offers "hybrid (live action/AI), 100% AI or AI VFX Augmentation". Its AI roster is named and includes the visual effects supervisor Rob Legato. Miro’s own blog names Tool as the production partner on "Build Rome in a Day", Miro’s first AI brand spot (Miro, 6 January 2026).
Watch for: no rights, consent or ownership copy on its AI pages, and no AI award beyond a Webby nomination.
5. AiCandy (Sydney, Australia)

Best for: brands and agencies in Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific.
AiCandy launched in July 2025, founded by Marcus Tesoriero and Kent Boswell. Its 90-second climate film for the United Nations, "Mad World", won Gold in the AI Craft category at the Cairns Crocodiles 2026 (B&T, 27 May 2026), the regional awards B&T runs. It says it blends "live action production, VFX, photography, practical shoots and Ai filmmaking into hybrid workflows", and it lists a roster of AI directors.
Watch for: the studio is young, its award-winning film was for a UN cause rather than a commercial brand, and its brand work (Four Seasons, Macquarie Bank among others) is listed only on its own site.
6. Secret Level (Los Angeles, US)

Best for: global brands that want fully AI or soundstage-hybrid films at scale, and can handle public scrutiny.
Secret Level, founded by Jason Zada, is one of the three studios Coca-Cola briefed for its 2024 AI remake of "Holidays Are Coming", alongside Silverside AI and Wild Card. "We thought one of them or couple of them will get it right. But all three of them got it right in different ways," Coca-Cola’s head of generative AI, Pratik Thakar, told Digiday in November 2024. Coca-Cola’s own release credits Secret Level again on the 2025 film (The Coca-Cola Company), and its eToro campaign in the UAE, made with Google’s Veo 3, was announced to run "across TV, digital, radio, and out-of-home platforms throughout the UAE" (Communicate Online, 7 October 2025). Its hybrid offer shoots actors "on a soundstage with real camera moves and real light" and builds the world around them.
Zada’s pitch is not cheaper films. "We tell our clients this is not about spending less money. It’s about using budgets more efficiently," he told The Hollywood Reporter in November 2025.
Watch for: the Coca-Cola films drew backlash two years running, even as System1’s panel gave the 2025 film its top score of 5.9 stars. The site publishes no consent, labelling or ownership terms, which is why the studio behind Coca-Cola’s AI films ranks sixth here.
7. AIRHEAD by Knucklehead (London, UK)

Best for: automotive and product films where real footage has to carry the product.
Knucklehead, a London commercials company founded in 2005, launched AIRHEAD as its AI studio on 1 December 2025, led by the director Chris Hewitt. Before the launch, Hewitt and Hugh Rochfort directed "The Pentathlete" for MG with the agency Raised By Wolves, a spot that blends AI with live-action footage and ran on TV, video on demand and in cinemas across Europe (shots, 13 May 2025).
Its co-founder Tim Katz has the line every buyer should hear from a studio: "We’ve already said ‘no’ to things where AI wasn’t the right tool" (LBB, 1 December 2025). He also says what the MG job taught them: "changing a shot late is really hard."
Watch for: one third-party-confirmed AI job so far, and the AIRHEAD page is a manifesto and contacts, with no process or rights terms.
Who nearly made the list, and why not
These studios came close or are names you will hear. Each could be right for a specific brief.
- Silverside AI (San Francisco and New York) co-made Coca-Cola’s AI holiday films and produced SVEDKA’s Super Bowl LX spot (LBB, 5 February 2026). Its site names no directors or team, and it published nothing on our checks beyond a partial process. Its co-founder Rob Wrubel has made the best case for licensed training data: "Coca-Cola is a global brand, so you can’t have a model where the images you’ve used to train haven’t been licensed" (FutureWeek, 20 February 2025).
- Genre.ai (US), PJ Accetturo’s studio, made the Kalshi spot that ran during the 2025 NBA Finals. Kalshi told NPR the AI generation cost "under $2,000" (NPR, 23 June 2025). Its site publishes almost nothing a buyer can check.
- The Dor Brothers were the studio the AI engines named most often in our test, but their brand work is "under NDA" on their own site, and their best-known videos are deepfake-style clips of public figures.
- The Gardening Club, The Sweetshop’s AI unit, has named directors and a hybrid offer. The McDonald’s Netherlands Christmas film credited to The Sweetshop was pulled in December 2025 after backlash; the company’s statement said "This wasn’t an AI trick. It was a film." (AV Club, 9 December 2025).
- Big Kahuna Films (Dubai) made an AI-crafted film for the telecoms brand e& with Saatchi & Saatchi (Campaign Middle East, 20 December 2024), but it is one film, and its site shows no AI offer.
- Eden Makers (Prague) publishes a written hybrid process and named directors; its national TV lottery spots are credited only on its own site.
- PURGA (Buenos Aires) won in Film at Cannes Lions 2026 for an AI film with GUT Mexico City (Economis, 29 June 2026), the clearest award proof any AI studio has, but has no website to check.
- Holding-company studios are another route if your agency belongs to a network: WPP Production has "close to 10,000 people", according to WPP’s own announcement of January 2026, and Publicis Production runs 52 studios.
What the other "best AI video production company" lists get wrong
We read the 53 pages that rank in Google for these searches in the US, the UK and India on 19 October 2026, and the answers ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews give to a buyer’s question. Four problems repeat.
- Software is passed off as studios. Superside’s "11 Best AI Video Production Companies" includes seven software tools. Of the 12 AI engine answers we captured, six named self-serve tools alongside or instead of studios.
- Publishers rank themselves, and rarely say so. Of 14 AI studio listicles, 11 put their own publisher in the top three. Four disclosed it. One ranks itself first while its own entry says it "is not an AI video studio".
- Nothing can be checked. Only one list linked to named, dated brand work. The rest show client logos without a title, a year or a source.
- Global titles, local lists. The lists are US-only, UK-only or India-only. The three AI answers to "the best AI video production company in India" named 16 studios between them, with no studio named twice.
The deeper problem is what the studios themselves publish. Here is what the 40 studios we audited besides ourselves put on their own sites.

That gap is why the evidence matters. When the World Federation of Advertisers surveyed multinational brand owners in 2024, 80% were concerned about how their agencies used generative AI, and only 29% had reviewed their contracts for it (WFA, 17 September 2024). By July 2025, 41% of UK advertisers had a live generative AI use case, up from 9% in April 2024, and agency contracts were being rewritten (ISBA, 2025).
How much does an AI video production company charge?
Almost none will tell you before a call. Of the 41 studios we audited, one publishes a price range (Daydrm Studio in New York, "$1,000-$50,000") and one shows budget bands on its brief form (The Dor Brothers, from "$15,000 to $50,000" up to "$300,000+"). The rest, ourselves included, quote per brief.
What the public record shows:
| Signal | Figure | In rupees (approx.) | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI generation cost behind Kalshi’s NBA Finals spot | under $2,000 (fee to the studio undisclosed) | under ₹1.9 lakh | NPR, 23 June 2025 |
| Daydrm Studio’s published range | $1,000 to $50,000 | ₹95,000 to ₹47.5 lakh | Daydrm Studio |
| The Dor Brothers’ brief-form bands | $15,000 to $300,000+ | ₹14.2 lakh to ₹2.85 crore+ | The Dor Brothers |
| Genre.ai’s top end | "We rarely charge over a hundred thousand dollars" | about ₹95 lakh | Wrapbook On Production podcast, 8 September 2026 |
| An Indian brand’s own comparison | AI film cost "15-20% of what a similar CG-heavy film would have" | n/a | Emami’s Kaushik Vedula to Storyboard18, 1 July 2025 |
Price signals for AI video production. Conversions at the European Central Bank reference rate of 16 October 2026: 1 US dollar = 94.96 rupees = 0.75 pounds. One lakh is 100,000 rupees; one crore is 10 million.
Two things the table hides. The cheap end is the cost of generation, not of a directed, cleared, finished film. And the studios at the top end say the saving is not the point: Accetturo told the Wrapbook podcast that on one job "the tech wasn’t there to get consistent location, good performance of the actors", and that "not all scripts should be AI". We price campaigns, not clips: set-up costs the same whatever the volume, so the price per film falls as a campaign grows. Our AI ad film cost guide explains when AI, live action or hybrid is the cheaper route for a brief.
Which studio fits your brief?
| If your brief is | Shortlist | Because |
|---|---|---|
| Real people, products and places, extended with AI | First December Films, Tool of North America, AIRHEAD | They shoot plates first and keep a director on set |
| A built world or a series of many films | First December Films, Secret Level | Published volume work (Razorpay’s 32 films; Coca-Cola) |
| A celebrity’s or a real person’s likeness | Studio Blo, Native Foreign, or us with a signed talent agreement | Published consent rule or real-talent hybrid work, but the talent contract is yours to hold |
| Gulf markets | Studio Blo, Secret Level | Emirates NBD and eToro UAE work |
| Australia and Asia-Pacific | AiCandy | Local base and an AI craft award |
| A pitch film or animatic for an agency | Any of the seven | Ask for a paid one-scene test first |
Matching the brief to the studio.
Whichever you choose, ask five things in writing before you sign: which aired film you can check and who else credits it; who directs, by name; where you sign off before video generation starts; what consent and label each face, voice and market needs; and who owns the film, with which indemnity from the AI tools. The answers separate a studio from a demo reel. Our guide to how AI commercials are made walks through where those sign-offs sit.
When this list does not apply
Skip it if you need dozens of avatar explainers or UGC-style (user-generated content) social ads a week. A software tool will be cheaper, and none of these studios is built for it.
Skip it if your film is a performance, a product demo or a testimonial that has to be real. Kantar’s pre-test data shows generative AI ads scoring at the 54th percentile on average against the 65th for non-AI ads (Kantar, 26 March 2026). Shoot it.
Check the rules for every market the film runs in. India’s advertising regulator, ASCI, published final AI labelling guidelines on 29 September 2026, in force three months later, and its chief executive Manisha Kapoor warned that "the mere use of an AI label may not make an otherwise misleading advertisement acceptable" (MediaInfoline, 29 September 2026). In the US, the 2025 SAG-AFTRA commercials contract pays a performer 1.5 session fees for every ad that uses their digital replica. Our guides to AI actors in ads and whether AI ads are legal in India cover both.
How did AI studios get here, and what changes in 2027?
The category is barely two years old. In June 2024 Native Foreign’s Toys"R"Us film showed a brand would put its name to a generated film. In November 2024 Coca-Cola briefed three studios at once, and the backlash made AI ads a mainstream story. 2025 brought hybrid work into TV and cinema (MG in May), a viral spot made for a fraction of a normal budget (Kalshi in June), the first Gulf bank campaigns (Emirates NBD in August), and production companies opening AI units (AIRHEAD in December). In 2026 the big networks reorganised around AI production (WPP Production in January), AI work won in regional and international award shows (Kyoorius, Cairns Crocodiles and Good Ads Matter in May, a Film win for PURGA at Cannes in June), and India’s regulator finalised its labelling rules in September.

Our forecast for 2027, and it is only ours: buyers will start asking every AI studio for three documents before the brief, a list of credits a third party can confirm, a consent file for every face and voice, and a labelled master. In July 2025 the IAB found US video buyers expected generative AI creative to reach 40% of all ads by 2026 (IAB, 15 July 2025). As AI work becomes ordinary, the studios that can show their paperwork will win the work that matters. On today’s evidence, most cannot yet.
Choosing an AI studio for your next film?
Start with one scene. If a brief has a shot that feels too specific, too risky or too hard to keep believable, bring it to us as a paid feasibility test before you commit a campaign, see the Air India film for how we work, paste your script into our free script analyser for a producer’s read, or send us the brief and a named producer will reply within two working days. You can read more about Ganesh Pareek, who oversees budgeting and AI policy at the house. For the films themselves, see our list of the best AI ads in India and how to tell if an ad is AI.
First December Films is an advertising film production company in Mumbai. Our work has won more than 150 international creative awards, including Cannes Lions, D&AD and One Show Gold Pencils.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI video production company?
It depends on the brief. From our audit of 41 AI studios, the seven we would shortlist for 2027 are First December Films, Studio Blo, Native Foreign, Tool of North America, AiCandy, Secret Level and AIRHEAD by Knucklehead. We publish the list and rank ourselves first; the other six are ranked by what they publish and what third parties confirm.
What is the best AI video production house in India?
On our checks, the two Indian studios with aired, independently credited AI brand work and published policies are First December Films and Studio Blo, both in Mumbai. First December Films made Air India’s 2026 AI film and Razorpay’s 32 IPL films; Studio Blo made AI films for Emirates NBD and won at the Kyoorius Creative Awards 2026.
How much does an AI video production company charge?
Few studios publish prices. Public figures run from under 2,000 dollars (about 1.9 lakh rupees) for the AI generation behind Kalshi’s 2025 spot to budget bands of 300,000 dollars and more (about 2.85 crore rupees). Most studios, including us, quote per brief, and a campaign costs less per film than a one-off film.
What is the difference between an AI video production company and an AI video tool?
An AI video production company directs and delivers a finished film, with a named director, producer, editor and sound team. An AI video tool such as Runway, Synthesia or HeyGen is software you operate yourself. Many lists of AI video production companies mix the two.
Why is First December Films first on its own list?
Because we publish the list and chose to put ourselves first. We scored ourselves on the same eight checks as every other studio and came out at 7.5 of 8, but those checks reward what we publish, so treat the order as ours and judge every studio, us included, on the films and terms it can show you.
How do I check an AI studio’s credits?
Ask for the aired film, then look for someone other than the studio naming it: the brand’s own release, the agency, an award organiser’s results or a trade title such as Campaign, LBB, shots or afaqs. Of 113 AI films claimed by the studios we audited, we could confirm 30 that way.
Who owns a film made by an AI video production company?
Whoever the contract says. Of the 41 studios we audited, only one, First December Films, publishes ownership terms. Ask in writing who owns the finished film and the assets, what happens to your scripts and footage, and what indemnity the studio’s AI tool licences give you.
